Indiana Institute of Technology at a Glance:
- Indiana Tech was established in 1930 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana
- Four-year degree programs were added in July 1960 and name was changed to Indiana Institute of Technology in 1963
- Regionally accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools; mechanical and electrical engineering programs are accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
- Four-year, coeducational, residential university providing degree programs in fields ranging from business to criminal science and engineering to computer studies
- In 2007, the Fort Wayne campus received a generous upgrade – in order to enrich the biomedical engineering curriculum, a life science lab was integrated into the Zollner Engineering Center, designed for both biology and human anatomy and physiology courses
- Beginning in January 2009, Indiana Tech Online will offer 5 week and 6 week semesters
- Students can choose between Independent Study or Online Courses

Like many other Indiana Technical Colleges, Indiana Institute of Technology began as an engineering and science college offering 2-year programs. Upon adding 4-year degree programs, Indiana Tech became a university, and currently offers the following degrees at the following levels: Associate of Science, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Science in Management (MSM), Master of Science in Engineering (MSE).
