About Ashford University

Ashford University is rich in history. Originally founded in 1918 in Clinton, Iowa as Mount St. Clare College, it became a Franciscan University in 2002. A few years later, the school was acquired and its name was changed to the presently known Ashford University. This year, the school celebrates its 90^th anniversary, and continues to maintain the same quality education it has been known to have since the school’s inception.

What to expect from Ashford University Online Accelerated Classes

In terms of how the online classes work, they use a platform called “Blackboard”. Here students can log in 24 hours/day and communicate with their fellow students and professors about the course, get assignments and post completed assignments. The school suggests logging in at least twice per week to Blackboard in order to make sure you are keeping up with the course.

For those needing additional help, fear not! Each online student is given an academic advisor who will be there to help you with anything you may require. Students are automatically allowed up to two hours of free tutoring as well.
