How to earn the fastest degree

When talking about accelerated degree programs, it is important to mention that there are many different scams circling the internet currently. These are the sites that offer you a college degree in days. They will even say that they are accredited. However, their accreditation is not approved by the US Department of Education.

A good rule of thumb? If it sounds too good to be true, it likely is fraudulent. You will have to actually put forth an effort to earn your degree.

Ways to accelerate your degree

There are many ways to accelerate your program. Many online universities offer shorter academic periods, the most common being 6-week or 8-week semesters. Instead of a typical 12 week quarter or 16-week semester, accredited universities offering online degrees have 6-8 week terms with little (or no) breaks in between. This allows students to take more courses each academic year.

If you have some college credits and have been in a particular field for a long time, check with your school to see if they offer the CLEP or DANTES tests. This could definitely save you time and money as well. There are many different ways to get your education while still being a member of the professional workforce.
