Ashford University History
Ashford University is rich in history. Originally founded in 1918 in Clinton, Iowa as Mount St. Clare College, it became a Franciscan University in 2002. A few years later, the school was acquired and its name was changed to the presently known Ashford University. In terms of how the online classes work, they use a platform called “Blackboard”. Here students can log in 24 hours/day and communicate with their fellow students and professors about the course, get assignments and post completed assignments. The school suggests logging in at least twice per week to Blackboard in order to make sure you are keeping up with the course.
