One commonality between all universities is that the classes are accelerated due to the length of a semester. Typically online schools do not follow a traditional academic calendar. Rather than the regular 16 week semesters, online courses are usually just 6-8 weeks long. This allows for students to take more courses each year and thus, finish their degree faster. Many of these programs take just half the time of their traditional counterpart!
What are some of the benefits of an accelerated degree program? The most obvious of all the benefits is the time savings involved.
