Accelerated Degree Online
Getting my accelerated degree online changed everything.
Being a stay at home mom is great. But budgeting for a household of four with only one income? Not so great. So, I decided it was time to hit the classifieds and go job hunting.
It didn’t take too long to figure out that without my finishing my degree, it just couldn’t work. Try as I might I just couldn’t figure out a way for me to work and make enough money to actually come out ahead after childcare expenses and the costs of commuting.
So, I started looking into finishing my degree, figuring it would be better to sacrifice a bit now so that I could get a better job down the road. But until I found out I could get an accelerated degree online, that idea seemed like a lost cause too, because it would take forever trying to get my degree through the meager assortment of night classes on offer.
An accelerated degree online–study hard, from home.
It wasn’t easy, mind you. Even with the credits I already had, I had 3 full semesters to take. Now, each semester was only eight weeks–thank goodness for that–so I had my degree in six months instead of two or three years. And it wasn’t always a cakewalk, trying to study with the kids home, but at least by getting my accelerated degree online, I didn’t have to leave them with a sitter, and pay for credits and childcare.
My accelerated degree online finished, I started job hunting again… this time successfully!
Getting my degree online was a lifesaver. Not only did it help me find a job, but the part time job I ended up with pays me more than the full-time minimum wage stuff I was looking at before I got my degree. So we have extra income, and I have more time on my hands than I thought I would.
