College is expensive. In fact, it has gotten so expensive that even the scholarship and grants program once in place will no longer cover the majority of tuition. This leave many students taking out expensive loans, or even turning away from their college dreams.

But there are plenty of ways to cover the cost of university tuition, and for any degree level. All it takes is a little work and a little ingenuity to get the ball rolling.   1. Family – More and more students are having bills covered by relatives chipping in for university costs.
  2. Tax Breaks – President Obama has introduced a number of tax breaks for students, working students, and the families of students living at home.
  3. Financial Aid – While many programs have been cut the federal government is extending programs to fit the needs of more students effected by the recession.
  4. More Affordable Tuition – Community colleges and online programs are two very effective ways you can beat the high prices and go on a few thousand instead of tens of thousands.
  5. Budgeting and Cost Cutting – More students are living on co-ops, petitioning for cheaper meals, and reducing spending significantly.
  6. Work Programs – More students are getting part time jobs, or taking work program positions at their schools.
