This is where the top 10 undergraduate engineering universities come into play. Knowing these top 10 undergraduate engineering universities will help you find the best university where you can earn a quality degree in engineering. These colleges are:

This list was compiled by the US News & World Report. These colleges offer undergraduate degrees in engineering but not graduate programs. The organization came up with this list after conducting a survey on engineering school deans and faculty members.

The ranking of these schools were based solely on the opinions of these deans and teachers. Engineering programs were ranked on a scale from 1 to 5. A score of 1 meant marginal while the highest score meant distinguished.

This survey may not seem so valid but US News & World Report made sure that they included only engineering schools accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Out of all the programs judged by deans and faculty members from all engineering schools all over the nation, Havey Mudd College and Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology came out on top with a total ranking score of 4.5. They were closely followed by Cooper Union. This school received a total score of 4.3.

California Polytechnic State University and United States Air Force Academy were tied at 6th place. Both schools received a ranking score of 3.9. At 8th place are Bucknell University and Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering. Ranking score of the schools is 3.8. Also tied at 10th place are Milwaukee School of Engineering and Villanova University. Their overall score was 3.6.
